This has been discussed on many bugs (notably Bug 52882) and also on -dev mailing list. I believe that the general consent was that the license is completely inacceptable for Gentoo. So - how did this find the way into the tree? Also note - Bug 52882, Comment #44 (the people who distribute this under a fake license don't provide the source code, in violation of their own license) - http://www.monkeysaudio.com/license.html <snip> Code changes and improvements must be contributed back to the Monkey's Audio project free from restrictions or royalties for the sake of the common good, unless exempted by express written consent of the author. </snip> The above has generally been deemed as not acceptable license for Gentoo.

ups, sorry. :-/ it was me who added 'mac'. btw: 'mac-port' is hosted on sourceforge and after reading the included license.htm, it looked at least not incompatible to me. so feel free to remove it, or ask me to do it.
