nstx-1.1_beta6 which is the latest version of nstx and the only one in portage is broken. Debian people has done a good job patching and fixing it. This bug contains the debian patch and a modified gentoo ebuild to patch the source before compiling it.

in cvs now.
please see the ebuild I commited for the preferred method of using debian patches (it makes it much easier to get new versions from them).
