Description t35t0r 2006-03-25 09:11:11 UTC
I just emerged x11-wm/fluxbox-0.9.15, and the colors aren't displaying as they should. For example I have the same colors specified in my theme for toolbar.color: #849ec6 and toolbar.colorTo: #526d8c and for window.title.focus.color: #849ec6 and window.title.focus.colorTo: #526d8c, but the colors actually look like this: http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/2589/fluxboxcolors9da.png ..why is the toolbar not showing the right colors ?

I've figured out why the toolbar color is changing. In ~/.fluxbox/startup I had xfcalendar & . Whenever an xfce4 program starts it changes the toolbar color to that shown in the png (the same happened with xfce4-mixer). I turned both of those off in the startup and the color went back to normal. If I try to manually start either of those programs the color of the toolbar goes back to that shown in the png. The strange thing is that even if I do restart or reload config from the fluxbox menu the color is still not fixed, even if both of those xfce4 programs are closed.

The previous version of fluxbox I had was x11-wm/fluxbox-0.9.14-r1 . This problem did not occur in that version.

thats a problem for upstream, not gentoo. so, provide pics of "before" and "after" at sf.net/projects/fluxbox -> bugs.

gentoo deals with the fluxbox upstream ..i reported it to sf.net before and they complained that I shouldn't report in both places.

Same problem with 0.9.15.1. Also happens if you run wine programs.

Toolbar alpha was set to 127 and starting certain apps changed the color. Set the toolbar alpha to 255 and a restart fixed the problem.
