Description Olav Kolbu 2002-12-26 17:50:51 UTC
Wasn't sure where to flag this, as it's developer docs but in userland.

ebuild(1) man page needs to be updated wrt available commands. It
lists 'check', possibly instead of 'depend' although I didn't get
too much useful info out of that command, and also has quite a few
missing. I presume this bit from portage.py list the valid ones(?):

 if mydo not in ["help","clean","prerm","postrm","preinst",
                 "postinst","config","touch","setup",
                 "depend","fetch","digest","unpack","compile",
                 "install","rpm","qmerge","merge","package"]:
       print "!!! Please specify a valid command."
       return 1

ebuild.5:
explain FILESDIR
update KEYWORDS
add PDEPEND
give examples of = ~ < > <= etc... operators
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2003-01-23 17:16:12 UTC
any commands that are not listed in the manpage are internal use only ...
