Description Milosz Kosobucki 2006-03-25 08:12:31 UTC
The latest version of protux package in portage is 0.20.2 and the latest version is 0.50.100 which has major improvements (according to authors). Can someone create new ebuild?

"If you really need to recompile it (maybe because you are a developer, or just you are just hacking Protux), just create a standard java project in eclipse, pointing to the dir where protux tarball has been decompressed.
The compilation will be automatically done by Eclipse.
For those who are Protux Project members, using Eclipse is a requirement. But if you dont want to use eclipse, you can set your class path to the dir where protux has been decompressed and manually type javac for EACH java file... Come on.. install eclipse and forget about compilation problems..
You can also create some ant task (jakarta.apache.org/ant) or some old-fashion Makefile . We might provide both in the future, stay tuned.
But again, just install eclipse, point a new java project to the directory-where-you-decompressed-protux-tarball and relax."

Wonderful. Well nothing we couldn't do manually.
