steps: - boot system - make sure dvdrip-master is NOT running - open DVDrip - open the cluster-control pannel => actual effect: main window of DVD::rip closes, loosing unsaved project, and stopping current rips ... On system where bug 123151 does not occur, a second attemp is successful because dvdrip-master have been started ... otherwise, it keeps bugging. -1 fix the bug that makes the main windo closing ... -2 find a way to provide a pop up reporting the error, instead of closing every thing silently and loosing all widows without and 'explained' reason (I mean, explained to the user), or at least warn that this is a known bug.

what's Bug 123151 doing here as dup of this ? how could a bug about GUI closing once, then working fine, be a dup of one saying that there is no way to start the app at all when negating some USE flag ?
there you refered to this bug first, you talked about two issues, one is gone by eliminated the fping USE flag, the second unresolved in it is in essence this , we don't need two bugs open on the same thing right? :)
