Description Henrik 2006-03-25 04:51:25 UTC
When booting Gentoo off of the 2006.0 Universal CD the box reboots while or after unpacking/loading gentoo.igz
It filled out the first line of dots and it prints about 10 dots or so on the next line.
Then it reboots.

It does so everytime.

I've run part of memtest86, it didn't find any errors, I had only ran about 37% of the whole test.

Is the boot cd based on i686? as far as I know the PD board will only go to i586.

I've used the same CD, RAM, DVD-dcfdrive to install on an EPIA MII board, without any problems.

MS XP Installs without problems.

Ubuntu 5.10 Installs fine as well

Board BIOS is 1.03

I'd welcome any sugestion as to test, or reading material.

  Have a nice day.

RTF link.

So I was a bit too fast there.

It states on the link that the LiveCD _is_ i686.

Going for the install CD x86.
