Description Luca 2006-03-24 10:17:25 UTC
Overview Description: In openoffice writer 2.0.2 when there is an open submenu of the contextual menu, pressing escape button result in a crash. I tried the same thing on two Gentoo systems and the same happens. I tried the same thing with openoffice for windows xp and that is ok.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new document in openoffice writer or impress (or open an existing one)
2. Right click (or left click if left-handed) on the document
3. Open whichever submenu is available in that menu
4. With the two menus open press the escape button

Actual Results: OOo crashes.
Expected Results: the submenu should be closed I think.

Build Date & Platform: OOo build 2.0.2 on Gentoo 2005.0 and 2005.1

Can reproduce that, might be an upstream bug though. Did you try this with openoffice-bin?
Comment 3 Luca 2006-03-24 13:43:23 UTC
No, I don't have a system with openoffice-bin installed. Is it possible to install both together and run openoffice-bin?
Comment 4 Luca 2006-03-26 23:30:52 UTC
I haven't tried it myself but it seems the bug is only present in openoffice sources and not in openoffice-bin: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-446588-highlight-.html.

I've just updated the ebuild in portage to ooo-build-2.0.2.5 which solves this problem. Wait some time for the mirrors to catch up on the new version and then rebuild to get rid of that problem.

thanks for reporting, closing.
