Description Vincenzo Romano 2006-03-23 22:43:48 UTC
My suspend2 seems not to work anymore.
What I see from the logs is:
---
Suspend2 Core.
Suspend2 Compression Driver loading.
Suspend2 Encryption Driver loading.
Suspend2 Swap Writer loading.
Suspend2 FileWriter loading.
ACPI wakeup devices:
P0P1 P0P3 R_ P0P4 P0P5 P0P6 P0P7 MC97 USB1 USB2 SLPB
ACPI: (supports S0 S1 S3 S4 S5)
Suspend2 2.2: No matching enabled writer found. Suspending disabled.
Suspend2 2.2: Missing or invalid storage location (resume2= parameter). Please correct and rerun lilo (or equivalent) before suspending.
...
Useless to say that I'm using the latest suspend2-sources and that the kernel option CONFIG_SUSPEND2_DEFAULT_RESUME2 is correctly configured.
Moreover the hibernate script seems to work (no error message is given during hibernation) but at the reboot no resume action is done. The boot simply skips the resume steps and goes on.

As the ebuild says: "If there are issues with this kernel, please direct any queries to the suspend2-users mailing list: http://lists.suspend2.net/mailman/listinfo/suspend2-users/"

Your bootloader seems to indicate a storage method for the RAM image which is not compiled into the kernel.

Check http://wiki.suspend2.net/ and/or ask on the above mailing list for help.
