/usr/src/linux/drivers/net/soundmodem/soundmodem.o

it is missing! its part of the AX25 packet radio soundmodem and is needed.

pls add it back into the next kernel how the hell am i supposed to setup a soundmodem without it.

This does not go to the Gentoo Infrastructure.  As the Gentoo Bugzilla site says if you are unsure where to file bugs, file them under "Gentoo Linux"
