Description ivo 2006-03-22 00:47:19 UTC
Gftp starts up fine using AMD 64. Howoever when choosing a menu or clicking a button, the application crashes. It does not hang, but simply vanishes from the screen. This always happens, it does not require a special situation.

Gftp works very well using Intel 32 bit. I've tried Gftp on 2 AMD64 systems and both systems crash immediatelly.

amd64 team: can you guys reproduce / look into this?
Comment 2 Homer Parker (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-24 10:48:23 UTC
[ebuild R ] net-ftp/gftp-2.0.18-r1 +gtk +gtk2 +nls +ssl 0 kB

Worked fine for me.I logged in to two different ftp servers and transfered files just fine. Went into all the pull down menus, into options, made some changes and saved just fine.

Current highest ~amd64 also good here.

I'm going to close this as WORKSFORME...if the original reporter is still having problems, please reopen and include the output of emerge --info and possibly some debug info (either a backtrace from a debugger or an strace output).

Comment 6 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-22 13:27:36 UTC
as we can't reproduce it, we need a backtrace from you. an strace isn't very helpful. if you don't know how to obtain a backtrace, please read http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/bugzilla-howto.xml

thanks in advance
