Description Jiri Tyr 2006-03-20 02:12:41 UTC
Why is not x11-themes/gtk-theme-switch depend on x11-themes/gtk-engines? If you do not have x11-themes/gtk-engines installed, then the x11-themes/gtk-theme-switch do not switch GTK themes properly (graphics is missing, only colors are applied - sometimes). Please add to the ebuild dependence on x11-themes/gtk-engines.

Erm, and why not another one, there's about 20 of them in portage? Install whichever you want, if you don't have themes, then there's no point in installing gtk-theme-switch after all.

Do you mean gtk-engines?

The problem is, that in the gtk-theme-switch is not mentioned, that I need any gtk-engine. This is the problem. Some virtual/gtk-engine would be nice. Or some info in postinstall section in the gtk-theme-switch ebuild. What do you think?

Of course...

Talk about over-engineering... :-) Well really, if you want to switch themes, you need to emerge some themes, seems pretty obvious...
