if you install xfs in modular X, and start it (/etc/init.d/xfs start) a warning is printed that ttmkfdir can not be stat'ed. installing XFS should install ttmkfidr if true-type fonts are in use, and not refrence ttmkfdir if truetype fonts are not in use.

It's too complicated to fiddle around with the init scripts for the piddly use case of people lacking truetype/type1 fonts. Should just be mandatory.
