Description Rob K 2006-03-16 14:10:11 UTC
MythTV (> 0.19-r1) fails to output any video if 'Standard XVMC' is selected as a playback option. Previous versions (<=0.19-r1) operated perfectly.

I'm using Nvidia 7676 display drivers as more recent ones have a bug that causes them to use 100% CPU when displaying video.

Please can the ebuild for MythTV-0.19-r1 be reinstated.

My system is fully upto date using ~amd64.

Some versions (including that one) of the nvidia driver place the libXvMCNVIDIA.so file in the wrong folder, specifically /usr/lib/xorg. Copy, move, or symbolically link the .so and .a into /usr/lib, run ldconfig, and see if the behavior persists.

If it does, see if bug #127143 applies to you.

Nope, the libraries I have are:

/usr/lib64/libXvMCNVIDIA.so.1.0.7676
/usr/lib64/libXvMCNVIDIA.so

I have no /usr/lib/xorg directory.

Upgrading to Xorg-7.x seems to have fixed the problem.

Well glad it's working.
