A new ebuild for media-sound From the webpage "JACK Rack is an effects "rack" for the JACK low latency audio API." With it (and jack) you can turn your box into a multi-FX rack. Note: This ebuild will not compile unless the latest version of ladspa-sdk is installed (1.12 at this time) and jack > 0.40.0 is installed. See bug 12227 and bug 11072.
Created attachment 6713 [details] jack-rack-1.0.1.ebuild Here it is.
I assign this now if you don't mind. :)

Hm..I experienced some problems not with jack-rack but with jack itself.. Sound jumps when running via jack and when moving windows/ opening apps (i.e. under KDE). My default jackd startup is: jackd -R -d alsa -d hw (kernel ist low latency and preempt enabled, of course; jack-cvs running). Any idea what's behind this? The server holding the jack user docs is down atm. :/
Version now up to 1.4.0. Will update ebuild.
Commited jack-rack-1.4.1.
