Description Rickard Olsson 2002-12-23 06:49:59 UTC
'emerge newt' gives the output

ACCESS DENIED symlink: /usr/lib/libnewt.so.0.50
ln: creating symbolic link 'libnewt.so.0.50' to 'libnewt.so.0.50.35': Permission
denied

before it stops. There's a sandbox logfile in /tmp, but it just gives the
symlink name (/usr/lib/libnewt.so.0.50).

The system is a recently installed server with 1.2 and no ~ hanky-panky. Logged
in as user root when trying to emerge.

Sorry about that -- for some reason my sandbox isn't enabled even though I have
"sandbox" in features.
