Hi,

Should the GUI installer allow multiple march flags? I chose i686 from the drop down window for march flags, then typed in "-march=athlon-xp" (my proc) just to see how the installer would do. The install went to completion, but I edited /etc/make.conf and I'm recompiling with emerge -e system && emerge -e world just in case.

Also, the CXXFLAGS were not the same as the CFLAGS... should the installer just set the CXXFLAGS to CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"?

There was no need to restrict this BUG to Gentoo Security nor Gentoo Developers.

What's stopping someone from doing that in their make.conf on a manual install? gcc should just take the later of the options without any complaint.

Moving to Release Media/Installer.
