I do not use XFS. But when I installed gentoo without installing XFSprogs i get
an error during boot. So I installed XFSprogs and the error did go away. Still I
shouldn't be forced to install XFSprogs if I don't use XFS.

Keep up the good work. I love gentoo!

From which media did you install Gentoo? If there's a chance it'd be nice to
see the error messages you encountered.

Jeff Ames fixed the bug. Apperently at some point my root partition got changed
from ext3 to xfs. Changing it fixed the problem.
