Good morning! I whould like to submint my new little tool to be included in the Gentoo Linux Portage. You can find the ebuild in the attached file as: ttpu-2.1.75.ebuild. TTpU is a tool that let users with root permissions to generate TCP/IPv4 packets with possibility to declare: source and destination ips and ports, sequence and acknowledgement numbers, tcp flags, window size and data to be sent. It's usefull to test networks, firewalls, and operative systems in particular stress conditions. It's realeased under terms of the TDFS-fw1 license, attached as file TDFS-fw1.txt. I suggest net-analyzer. Hoping to receive soon your news I hope you'll have an happy weekend. Best regards, Alberto M. Scattolo
Created attachment 81928 [details] ttpu version 2.1.75 ebuild I'm not sure about license checking... hope you'll can help mein this and/or fix it.
Created attachment 81929 [details] ttpu TDFS-fw1 license This is the license which ttpu is realeased with.
Is this silent normal or am i missing anything?
Vote for yes, please include that in portage. Is it (TTpU) available in any portage overlay?
I saw lot of time passed and I didn't proposed here the updated ebuild for my TTpU any more. Now it has reached version 3.0.0 and it supports full ASCII and HEX packet data payload. Probably nobody will add TTpU in the Gentoo portage but You can dowanload it from here: http://poetidistrada.com/ttpu/ For any question, for help, for changes, for features request, just write me. You can find my email address on TTpU homepage. Thank You very much! Best regards, Alberto M. Scattolo
(this is an automated message based on filtering criteria that matched this bug) 'EBUILD' is in the KEYWORDS which should mean that there is a ebuild attached to this bug. This bug is assigned to maintainer-wanted which means that it is not in the main tree. Heuristics show that no Gentoo developer has commented on your ebuild. Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely manner. There are simply too many new packages. Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =) Because this is a mass message, we are also asking you to be patient with us. We anticipate a large number of requests in a short time. Thanks, On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team, Jeremy.
