8.21.7 has finally been marked stable but it still doesn't work on my radeon X600. I'm ably to start up the X server only once, then: Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm: :0[23785]: IO Error in XOpenDisplay Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm[18528]: X server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm[18528]: Display :0 cannot be opened Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm[18528]: Unable to fire up local display :0; disabling.
FYI this applies to a Samsung X20 (II, I think) notebook. In case somebody owns one, too...
I'm able to open a second display, but that one looks corrupted. I see this since I've upgraded to the 8.21.7 drivers. The initial screen (screen 0) where I usually work on looks fine.

The reasoning behind 8.21.7 going stable was due to fact 2.6.15 is the latest stable kernel. > Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm[18528]: X server for display :0 terminated > unexpectedly > Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm[18528]: Display :0 cannot be opened > Mar 10 13:04:05 notebook kdm[18528]: Unable to fire up local display :0; > disabling. >
