Description Alan Jones 2006-03-09 04:31:10 UTC
Hi All,

I'm running gentoo in an environment with an ldap server providing passwd, group and host information.

DBus hangs and doesn't start if it tries to start before the network is up. For now I've just created a depend section and added after net which has fixed the problem.

I don't know whether you want to include this upstream, but I can't see any downsides to having it in a non-ldap environment.

Cheers,

Alan.

Have you more information about the problem?

I'm trying to reproduce it, but all working.

Thanks

I believe the issue is your networking choices in /etc/conf.d/rc, please check there and re-open as necessary but these issues aren't reproducable and sound specifically like misconfiguration.
