Hello. We have set up a Gentoo rsync and source (distfiles) mirror at the Linux Center of the University of Latvia. It's a powerful server with large disk array dedicated to Open Source projects and mirrors. It has 1Gbps paths to the Latvia's central ISP hubs and 100Mbps to most Latvia's ISPs. According to your mirrors list this might become the first official Gentoo mirror in Latvia. The ftp URLs to theese repositories are: ftp://ftp.linux.edu.lv/mirrors/gentoo.org/gentoo-portage/ and ftp://ftp.linux.edu.lv/mirrors/gentoo.org/gentoo-distfiles/ . The rsync access is open to both repositories: ftp.linux.edu.lv::gentoo-portage, ftp.linux.edu.lv::gentoo-x86-portage ftp.linux.edu.lv::gentoo-distfiles . We can also open http access to theses repositories, if necessary. Is it set up correctly and can it be used [and maybe nominated] as official mirror?
The mirrors include all platforms, of course.
