Description Werner Schalk 2006-03-06 05:20:10 UTC
Hi,

version 0.2 of mpm_peruser was released today (see http://www.telana.com/peruser.php) and I was wondering whether this could maybe be included in Gentoo's Apache version anytime soon? MPM_peruser enables an administrator to run each apache child process with its own user as well as group and allows for the chrooting of each Apache process. So this basically results in a secure web server environment without using ugly workarounds such as PHP's safe_mode etc.

Thanks and bye,
Werner

peruser seems to be broken completely in apache 2.0.55 (x86-64).

its verry slow, and sometimes i get this error

[Mon Apr 24 11:08:13 2006] [info] (107)Transport endpoint is not connected: apr_socket_addr_get(APR_REMOTE)

please update peruser quick to version 0.2

I've included mpm-peruser 0.2.0 in apache 2.0.58. Please test it out and see if these issues are resolved. Thanks!
