Recently media-audio/beep-media-player has been deprecated in favour of media-sound/audacious. After upgrading I missed an aRts output plugin for audacious. Is it possible for somebody to port media-plugins/bmp-arts for audacious.

I tried to use the plugin from http://rpmseek.com/rpm/audacious-arts-0.2.2-5mdk.i586.html?hl=com&cx=1999:A:120:2523734:0:0:0
I also tried to compile it from sources located at http://rpmseek.com/rpm/audacious-more-plugins-0.2.2-5mdk.src.html?hl=com&cx=1999:A:120:2522358:0:0:0
But in both cases I got an segfault after running audacious.

Unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge in c/c++ to locate this problem myself.

This has been ported and committed to Audacious SVN; revision 843. You can thank Giacomo Lozito for the hard work :)
Ofcourse, this will make it into the next release of Audacious for all to enjoy, if you can't wait now, feel free to visit the audacious IRC channel and we'll help you set up current SVN.
