sys-apps/dbus-0.60-r4 installs a spurious directory /var/lib/run/dbus. This is not needed since the socket and pid file are in /var/run and /var/run/dbus, respectively. Adding an additional "--localstatedir=/var" to econf (as it used to be for -0.23.4-r1) seems to fix the problem.
Indeed it does that, allthough.. that directory disappear after boot, but it still shows up in e.g. equery files dbus
(In reply to comment #1) > that directory disappear after boot, This I can't confirm. Who should clean /var/lib at boot time? However, the directory is not protected by keepdir, so it may eventually vanish if the package is upgraded. > but it still shows up in e.g. equery files dbus
I believe /etc/init.d/bootmisc cleans /var/run at boottime.
Fixed.
