Description tha.gamemaster 2006-03-05 01:04:15 UTC
Unsure of the nature of this finding but, while doing a fresh install on a iMac G4 (700 mHz "lamp" model), I encountered an error while attempting to emerge vixie-cron. After some time in IRC, it was deduced that cronbase was not installed and I did "emerge --oneshot cronbase" to fix it. This was using the universal ppc cd 2006.0. The same error did not occur on my iMac G3 233 and the installs were less than 12 hours apart. The stages and snapshots were all copied from the CD, but this was not a GRP install. If any information is required, please e-mail me at the listed e-mail address.

So post the error, hard to guess. Besides, vixie-cron inherits cron.eclass which RDEPENDs on cronbase.
