Description Robin Wood 2006-03-04 10:05:19 UTC
I get the digest version of a mailing list and so regularly get mails with 40+ mails attached. If I select the mail and wait for the preview to start, then select another mail before previewing has finished, evolution freezes.

Evolution tries to count the number of attachments and in the status bar reports "verifying message 100% complete", the freeze happens if I move before this count completes.

Up until reporting this bug I would have said that it was 100% reproducible but I've found that if I've reproduced the problem a few times with the same mail it stops happening.

Running evolution from the command line, no error messages are displayed after the freeze.

I'm viewing the mail through imap from a machine on the local network.

Evolutiuon version 2.4.2.1

Getting the note that this bug had moved who it was assigned to I tried to reproduce it again and now I can't. I've changed some use flags recently and done a newuse update world, maybe something in this fixed it.

Here is my new emerge info. I can't see much changed but someone may spot something:

Just happened again, it is intermittent.
Comment 3 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-14 12:52:02 UTC
please upgrade to evolution-2.6 ( just marked stable with GNOME 2.14 ) and re-open the bug if you can still reproduce it.
