checking for FRONTEND_CORE... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.6.0 libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.6.0 libglade-2.0 poppler-glib >= 0.5.0) were not met: Package 'poppler-glib' requires 'poppler = 0.5.0' but version of poppler is 0.5.1 Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables FRONTEND_CORE_CFLAGS and FRONTEND_CORE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. !!! Odd, it installed fine for me, and the actual check in the file is for >= 0.5.0, not =. There is no way to fix this, since it's not, apparently, a problem, as far as the code is concerned.
i had this problem too. it seems to me is was related to package order. try to do a emerge -pND evince. you should see portage emerging poppler-bindings and then evince. at least it worked for me
That worked, once I upgraded to poppler-bindings .51 it works. Is there some way to have it make sure the poppler and poppler-bindings is the same version?
Well, poppler-bindings deps on the same version of poppler as it has. You don't have to have poppler-bindings at all, so there's no way to do the opposite dep.
Same issue here. Emerging poppler-bindings 0.5.1 fixed it. Isn't there some kind of dependancy problem going on here?
evince now deps on 0.5.1
