Description Wolfgang Goetz 2006-03-03 15:50:20 UTC
[Ufraw-announce] UFRaw-0.7 Released

UFRaw-0.7 is now finally released. The biggest changes in this version
are an improved calculation of color temperature and per camera white
balance presets. We currently have these presets for 30 cameras only.
If your camera is not supported, then check:

http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Contribute.html

for details on how to supply us with this information.

New cameras supported in this version (thanks to dcraw 8.05) include:

* Canon EOS-1D Mark II N
* Fuji FinePix E900
* Nikon D200
* Olympus C3030Z
* Olympus C7070WZ
* Olympus SP500UZ
* Phase One P 30
* Phase One P 45

More changes include:

* Show the channel multipliers in the UI.
* Apply base curve before gamma curve.
* Fix a few general bugs.
* Fix camera specific bugs for Sony F828, Sigma Foveon, Nikon D2H, D1X.

Have fun and report any problems,
Udi

Comment 2 Paul de Vries 2006-03-04 02:50:07 UTC
ebuild does not build with libexif, even with exif flag switch on. Ufraw configure needs flag: --with-libexif to use libexif and not --enable-exif as currenlty used:
./configure --prefix=/usr --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var/lib --enable-gimp --enable-exif --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu

Comment 3 Paul de Vries 2006-03-04 03:43:39 UTC
Since of 0.7 for exif support libexif >= 0.6.13 is needed.

I prefer Phil Harvey's
exiftool
(Image::Exiftool)

never used exif in ufraw

I have posted an ebuild for libexif-0.6.13 (bug: 117894 ) with this I am able to build ufraw-0.7 with exif working correctly.

I'm not sure I understand the point of the einfo in this ebuild. I could also add einfo "vim is better than emacs" but I don't think that would be very useful either.
On the other hand, if exiftool can be used as a replacement of libexif (which I don't think is the case), then it should say so in DEPEND.

ufraw-0.7 has been added to portage.
