ebuild does not build with libexif, even with exif flag switch on. Ufraw configure needs flag: --with-libexif to use libexif and not --enable-exif as currenlty used: ./configure --prefix=/usr --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var/lib --enable-gimp --enable-exif --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu
Since of 0.7 for exif support libexif >= 0.6.13 is needed.

Comment on attachment 81367 [details] ufraw-0.7-r1.ebuild I prefer Phil Harvey's exiftool (Image::Exiftool) never used exif in ufraw

(In reply to comment #7) I have posted an ebuild for libexif-0.6.13 (bug: 117894 ) with this I am able to build ufraw-0.7 with exif working correctly.
Created attachment 81562 [details] ufraw-0.7.ebuild +with libexif as of bug 117894 +einfo about usability of exif

I'm not sure I understand the point of the einfo in this ebuild. I could also add einfo "vim is better than emacs" but I don't think that would be very useful either. On the other hand, if exiftool can be used as a replacement of libexif (which I don't think is the case), then it should say so in DEPEND.
ufraw-0.7 has been added to portage.
