Description aurels 2006-03-03 06:10:51 UTC
I'm just trying to install on a Targa Traveller notebook but it stucks on:

Code:
Detected 1 Mobile AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 300+ 1985MHz CPU

at live-cd boot (hardware detection).

Any ideas?

I tried the noapic, nolapic, acpi=off kernel options...

(same errro with x86 and amd64 CDs)

Try "nosmp noapic nolapic acpi=off" and see what you get. You can also try "nodetect nox", too, which will disable hotplug, along with hwsetup, from running. This means you won't have much in the way of auto-detection done, but we can try to narrow down the problem.
