Description Richard C 2002-12-19 22:50:49 UTC
KEYWORDS="-x86 -ppc -sparc "

Should perhaps be KEYWORDS="~x86 ~ppc ~sparc "

?

As it is right now, without adding the -x86 to ACCEPT_KEYWORDS, I get a block on
for upgrade of OpenLDAP 2.0.27.

db4 is not to be unmasked just yet
Comment 2 Richard C 2002-12-20 19:49:13 UTC
How do I go about "Un-Masking" it ?? I am going nuts here :)

I have tried changing the - to ~ (I am running ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86) with no
luck. It's not in packages.mask that I can see, so that's not it..

When I try emerge db -p, all it wants to merge is db-3.2.9-r1.

I can emerge it by hand if I go into /usr/portage/sys-libs/db, and do:
emerge sys-libs/db-4.0.14
It works fine (after making the Java fixes from bug 11655), but even then my
main problem still exists :

emerge -up world --deep

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.

Calculating world dependencies |

!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy ">=sys-libs/db-4.0.14" have been masked.
!!! (dependency required by "net-nds/openldap-2.0.27" [ebuild])

Openldap-2.0.27 has been recently unmasked for "~x86" users, hence my grief..
Comment 3 Nick Hadaway 2002-12-21 13:32:03 UTC
openldap-2.0.27 doesn't require db4... I have changed the dependancies. Sorry
for the confusion.
