This is not a glsa. Although in portage for a bit more than 1 month, samba-3.0.21b has been tested in production by some users since the appairing in bugzilla (first days of January).

The mips team doth annoint this bug with the mips keyword of stability +1.
samba-3.0.22 is now stable on SPARC. Gustavo's nmbd crashes appeared to be related to having a remote announce broadcast address defined when none of the interfaces samba is configured to use on a host covered that broadcast address.
