Installed from 2006.0 x86 livecd on PII350 computer (80 GB Western Digital hard disk, Realtek NIC-s, Tyan motherboard). The computers BIOS shows that the HD is smaller than actual size, but in the installer the whole disk is seen and can be partitioned. Installation failed with following results: GLI: March 01 2006 23:40:48 - Emerged the selected bootloader. Update to the latest CVS snapshot by opening a terminal and running '/opt/installer/misc/updategtkfe'. Turn on verbose mode on the "Misc" tab of the Pre-install configuration screen. If the error happens again, attach your installer.log and installprofile.xml
Can you update to CVS and try to reproduce?
(In reply to comment #4) > Can you update to CVS and try to reproduce? > Meantime I have updated BIOS, so the BIOS detects correct hard disk size. If this doesn't interfere something so that error won't appear at all then I can try again. Maybe I have time for this in a week or so, until then I am trying using Gentoo in Debian chroot.
Apparently, this happens when you select GRP and ~arch. This has been "fixed" in CVS. It won't let you select ~arch if GRP is selected.
Moving to Release Media/Installer.
