Hello all!! I found that netkit-bootpd is not pointing to correct bootpd application. Instead of this is pointing to netkit-bootparamd-0.17.tar.gz. This is not the correct bootpd server. I created a bootpd ebuild that patches and emerges bootpd-2.4 correctly (I hope). I placed it on net-misc/bootpd in my home host. I tested it only on x86 platform. I will try on my AMD64 X2 machine to see if it works... But should be stable enough. I hope it helps

Please, don't restrict bugs... If you don't know what a particular checkbox means, don't touch it. Also, never attach tarballs. All we need is plaintext ebuild and patches. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=3#doc_chap2 Reopen with a plaintext ebuild.

dragonheart: you were the last one to touch net-misc/netkit-bootpd, could you please have a look at these changes?
added 2.4 thanks Gonzalo. I wasn't keen on moving it to a new package. Maybe later. Thanks for the ebuild and patch.
Thank to you. I'm pleased to help a little bit, jeje.
