I don't know if this is the correct place to file this bug, but I don't want it to remain unreported.
When doing "emerge --update --deep world", having the line "dev-lang/ghc-bin" in my "/etc/portage/package.keywords" file, emerge starts downloading the file to "/usr/portage/distfiles" normally. Once it ends, it tries to download the same file from different mirrors and the message "The file is already fully retrieved; nothing to do." appears each time. Finally, it aborts with this message: "!!! Couldn't download ghc-bin-6.4.1-ppc.tbz2. Aborting."
I've been told on IRC it could be a problem with the mirror, so I changed my settings in "/etc/make.conf" and tried to emerge it again (of course, I removed the old file first) but the same happened. If you need anything else just ask for it. Thanks.

I get the same. The digest does indeed not match. I'm looking into it...
Comment 2 Duncan Coutts (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-28 14:36:07 UTC
It appears that the file on the mirrors is incomplete. It's only about 5.4Mb when it should be about 20Mb or more.

cc'ing lu_zero to see if he has a complete copy of the file.

Thanks lu_zero!

At the moment it looks like some mirrors have updated but not all yet. I get one mirror that gives me the first 5Mb and another that gives me the full lot. For the mirror with the full version it does have the correct digest.

I'll just wait a little longer 'til and make sure the other mirrors seem to have updated before closing this bug.

Ok, the mirrors seem to have updated. Closing this bug.
