My linux box kernel is 2.6.14-gentoo-r5. In this box, kon2 (app-i18n/kon2-0.3.9b-r1) cannot run. I tried following patch and kon2 become OK. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=290611
Created attachment 100123 [details, diff] mmap(2) patch for kon2-0.3.9b Like this? NOTICE: Not sure, because I've not tested this patch on my system.
FYI, at least it fails to build w/ new sanitized headers on ~amd64 userland, even if w/ this mmap(2) fixes. And then, this app can not support UTF-8. To migrate app-i18n/jfbterm is a idea worth considering, IMHO.
Broken for over 2 years without absolutely any response from maintainer, nothing depends on it -> treecleners.
The upstream download location is gone as well, and there never was a homepage for it. Removal should probably also include media-fonts/konfont as that seems to be included specifically for this package. +1 from me.

Long enough time has passed for something that doesn't work. # Jeremy Olexa <darkside@gentoo.org> (3 Jul 2008) # Masked for removal in ~30 days by treecleaners. bug #124383 # Doesn't compile, dead upstream, no maintainer. app-i18n/kon2
removed from tree.
