I was going through some of the GLI screenshots on OSDir earlier and have a few little nits to pick: Must the 'Welcome' page mention taunting users? A space in 'setup' -> 'set up' would probably make sense in a lot of places. The Network Mounts page uses too many commas: "Here you will be able[...]" "Currently only NFS is supported" Many others repeat the "Here, you will.." error. The 'Extra Packages' page calls the user a hoser; is this really necessary, especially considering the number of non-native-English folks who use Gentoo?
(In reply to comment #0) > The Network Mounts page uses too many commas: > "Here you will be able[...]" > "Currently only NFS is supported" > Many others repeat the "Here, you will.." error. Not addressing the rest, but the commas are generally correct. A better way would be to rewrite these sentences so that the part requiring the comma no longer exists. "Here, you will" -> "You will", etc.
Fair enough, my bad. :)
I have removed the ", you hoser" bit in CVS. I tend to sprinkle my...unique sense of humor throughout the installer. I apologize if it offended anyone.
Dunno if it offended anyone or not, but it did get some negative comments around the community (slashdot for example) and it's probably best if people's first impression of Gentoo is reasonably serious. Thanks for making the change :)
agaffney fixed the text that needed to be changed. the rest is as it should be according to spyderous.
Moving to Release Media/Installer.
