I have my partitions with cryptsetup-luks with the help of the wiki "http://gentoo-wiki.com/SECURITY_FileSystem_Encryption_without_ROOT".The encryption worked fine and I also could mount the encrypted partitions without any problems. Then I've restarted my computer and when I was asked for a password on boot no matter how many times I've tried it refused to decrypt with the error wrong password.Hopefully I had a backup. I guess this is because I use utf8 ( I didn't use any non-english character in the password but I can't think of any other reason) Regards, Ali Polatel
The problem is related to the fact that you don't have a UTF-8 environment during the boot process, so its not understanding your UTF-8 symbols. You should be fine if you use standard encoding for your password (ie non utf-8 symbols). I'm not sure of the best solution for this. I'll have a think and chat with some people and see what I can do. I will just add a warning about it in the meantime.
can't be done at this time.
