Oroborus 2.0.13 want to pull in the monolithic X11 system when you have the modular X11 system installed. Emerge output (oroborus was installed prior to migrating to modular X11): # emerge world -uvDNa --tree These are the packages that I would merge, in reverse order: Calculating world dependencies ...done! [blocks B ] x11-libs/libXft (is blocking x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r6) [nomerge ] x11-wm/oroborus-2.0.13 USE="-gnome" [ebuild N ] virtual/x11-6.8 0 kB [ebuild UD] x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r6 [7.0-r1] USE="3dnow% bitmap-fonts% mmx% opengl% pam% sse% truetype-fonts% xv% -3dfx -cjk% -debug% -dlloader% -dmx% -doc% -font-server% -insecure-drivers% -ipv6% -minimal% -nls% -nocxx% -sdk% -static% -type1-fonts% -xprint%" 196 kB
If you'd like to help, you can create a patch against the current oroborus according to: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/porting-modular-x-howto.xml Otherwise, you'll have to wait until one of us gets around to doing it. If you have modular X installed, it shouldn't hurt to `emerge --nodeps oroborus`
Fixed.
