the following problem: 
having /boot on another partition as /. 
mounted / and /boot 
chroot 
... emerge system 
 
here emerge grub fails. log is attached. seems the mount-boot.eclass needs some 
modifications or the install guide should suggest to creating first /etc/fstab and then 
doing an emerge system.

probably caused by a broken hard disk, currently bootstrapping on another hd. 
if it still doesn't work, i will reopen this bug.
