What does that nonfree flag do? It's not in IUSE, and it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere else.

iirc, the build system is dynamic thus there is no need to actually utilize it elsewhere

My guess would be that the non-free use flag used to install the games that are now in bsd-games-non-free.
