With strongswan-2.5.7 I created a host-to-host, psk-authorized connection between two qemu virtual machines. Both host and emulated systems were x86 machines running Gentoo Linux 2005.1 updated on 2006-02-23. With gmp-4.1.4 the vpn connection worked fine but after upgrading to gmp-4.1.4-r3 I could not bring up the ipsec service. I also tested this case using User Mode Linux instead of qemu and the results were similar. Pylon, looked into this at all?
Sorry for the delay. We have only gmp-4.2.1 in the tree. And I don't have any problems with strongswan so far.
