Description Artur Majdiuk 2006-02-23 09:44:33 UTC
With strongswan-2.5.7 I created a host-to-host, psk-authorized connection between two qemu virtual machines. Both host and emulated systems were x86 machines running Gentoo Linux 2005.1 updated on 2006-02-23. With gmp-4.1.4 the vpn connection worked fine but after upgrading to gmp-4.1.4-r3 I could not bring up the ipsec service. I also tested this case using User Mode Linux instead of qemu and the results were similar.

The world file on emulated machines:

sys-kernel/gentoo-sources
app-admin/sysklogd
sys-boot/lilo
net-analyzer/traceroute
app-portage/gentoolkit
net-misc/strongswan
sys-boot/grub
net-nds/portmap
net-analyzer/tcpdump

`emerge --info` output on emulated machines:

qemuhost / # emerge --info
Portage 2.0.54 (default-linux/x86/2005.1, gcc-3.4.4, unavailable, 2.6.15-gentoo-r1 i686)

Pylon, looked into this at all?
Comment 2 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-18 12:33:18 UTC
Sorry for the delay.

We have only gmp-4.2.1 in the tree. And I don't have any problems with strongswan so far.
