The ebuild specifies --enable-gssapi as an ./configure option but the output of ./configure --help does not show it as a valid option hence no Kerberos support is compiled.

Should be "--with-gssapi" and or "--with-spnego"

7.15.3 ebuild already uses --with-gssapi. What do you propose for the spnego flag?

Seems to be fixed in 7.15.3 as suggested. We do not have fdopenssl in the tree, so there will not be spnego support until that happens.
