Description Andres Loeh (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-18 02:57:37 UTC
ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery) is a rogue-like game, very similar to
nethack.

Unfortunately it is not open-source and has its own license which allows
redistribution.

The ebuild sets up a global directory to hold the scores file in
/usr/share/adom. It also makes the adom binary setgid for group games so that
it can write in that directory.

A configuration file is put in /etc that points adom to the global data
directory used.

I install in /opt/adom/bin, because it is a binary-only distribution, but
crete a symbolic link in /usr/bin, because the one binary seems not important
enough to add yet another directory to the path in /etc/env.d.

The build should be placed in app-games/adom.

I've noticed that this ebuild has been in an unassigned status for 4 months or so. I've tested this ebuild and it works great, any chance of it being placed in the portage tree? Thanks!
