Description Ethem Bilgin 2006-02-21 04:10:14 UTC
Regular "/etc/init.d/named restart" just stopped service. Did not start it. Had to start it manually with "/etc/init.d/named start". It is not reproducable. Happened once. Just notification.

Reopen if you find out a pattern when if fails, works fine here so hard to fix :)
Comment 2 Walter 2009-08-10 15:11:15 UTC
I have seen this on multiple gentoo systems too, just saw it now (default init script, net-dns/bind-9.6.1_p1).
