Your system is misconfigured.
What does 'hostname' return?

See the install guide, and ensure that your domainname and hostname are configured.
Comment 2 Eero Volotinen 2006-02-21 04:42:26 UTC
well. I don't think that is the issue but:

http://www.mail-archive.com/toaster@shupp.org/msg02446.html

Looks like there is memory issues with amd64 and tcpserver
Comment 3 Eero Volotinen 2006-02-21 04:50:37 UTC
solution: set softlimit to 32 megabytes, looks like this is issue on amd64?
Comment 4 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-27 11:31:24 UTC
Can someone from the amd64 herd please comment on this issue?
Comment 5 Michael Hanselmann (hansmi) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-12 10:36:25 UTC

amd64: is this bug still present?
if not, please close.
Comment 9 Paul Sumner 2006-12-16 14:02:42 UTC
I have 2 amd64 qmail servers and I have found that I needed to set the softlimit up on both.

mailadm@mail ~ $ grep SOFT /var/qmail/control/conf-common
SOFTLIMIT_OPTS="-m 33554432"

Perhaps a amd64 patch is in order...

mail-mta/qmail removed from the tree; if you have issues w/ netqmail, file a new bug please.
