I checked their mailing list and bug tracker and this shouldnt happen: I get it when executing it for the first time: Gconf key error Ekiga got an invalid value for the GConf key "/apps/ekiga/general/gconf_test_age ". It probably means that your GConf schemas have not been correctly installed or t he that permissions are not correct. Please check the FAQ (http://www.ekiga.org/), the troubleshooting section of the GConf site (http://www.gnome.org/projects/gconf/) or the mailing list archives for more information (http://mail.gnome.org) about this problem. $ uname -a Linux blacky 2.6.15-ck3-r1 #1 Sun Feb 19 12:56:55 IST 2006 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux previos ekiga 1.99 worked well.

By the way... using dbus use flag is not advised. Unstable. Check gnomemeeting list for more info.
