test failures

Seems that they are failing for qmail and other packages I don't have installed ?
Comment 2 Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-23 09:53:57 UTC
I'm getting the same bunch of failures on sparc.

cvm testresults on ppc

a number of tests fail here on ppc too.
see attachment for some info.
Comment 4 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2006-02-25 02:40:52 UTC
tsunam: could you try to run the test on x86 with netqmail installed?

gustavoz: could you attach your test failure output?

nixnut: your test failures are different. those SASL segfaults concern me esp, but UDP networking really should work as well which is weird.
Comment 5 Joshua Jackson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-27 19:48:47 UTC
I had the same exact failures with netqmail installed.
Comment 6 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2006-02-27 22:26:07 UTC
ok, this is really weird.
it passes fine on my machine, and this box doesn't have qmail at all.
I'm delaying this for the moment, until later in the week when I have another box that I can install cleanly and test on.

SPARC test failures
Comment 8 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-30 21:23:28 UTC
Same failures here. What's going on with this? :)
Comment 9 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2006-04-21 22:24:21 UTC
ok, let's give it a spin again.
First, test out bglibs-1.0.41, it's got a lot of big-endian fixes, and upstream wrote more test cases to catch stuff.
Also, we were missing a dependancy before, and I've added that.

So to recap:
1. FEATURES='test' emerge bglibs
2. FEATURES='test' emerge cdb
3. FEATURES='test' emerge cvm

vmailmgr-xconvert still fails, the other tests are passing now

nixnut: Ok, fixed that one as well, that's a nasty thing for a testcase to be using. xxd is only available with vim :-(.

Give it another spin.
Comment 12 nixnut (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-22 04:00:52 UTC
Works for FEATURES="test" USE="test" emerge cvm
Stable on ppc.
Comment 13 Sander Knopper 2006-04-24 02:51:43 UTC
on x86:

[ebuild N ] net-libs/cvm-0.76 -mysql -postgres

Compiles fine and passes all tests (FEATURES="test").
