As we all know, there are multiple multimedia programs that can use WinAMP 2 skins. XMMS, Beep Media Player, BMPx, Audacious, etc. But they all seem to have different skin packs, if any. How about creating one single WinAMP 2 skin pack, and enabling program usage via use flags? i.e. USE="xmms -bmp bmpx audacious" emerge winampskins I think that'd be really neat. ~~ Andrew D.
I like the idea but it would be even better to omit the use flags and install it to something like /usr/share/skins (you got the idea) and teach the players to look there...
I'm closing this bug because it's outdated since there is only _one_ player left in Portage that supports winamp skins; Audacious. And for Audacious there is allready x11-themes/audacious-themes which includes Winamp themes. BMP is gone from tree. XMMS is gone from tree. BMPX doesn't use Winamp skinning engine anymore.
