Description Mark R 2006-02-18 09:32:13 UTC
I attempted to unmask ksh and install it on my SGI Octane with a current toolchain.

<snip> From the end of the emerge ksh </snip>

>>> /usr/share/locale/fudd/LC_MESSAGES/libshell
>>> /usr/share/locale/fudd/LC_TIME
>>> /bin/ksh93 -> /bin/ksh
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
>>> app-shells/ksh-93.20040229 merged.
>>> Recording app-shells/ksh in "world" favorites file...
>>> clean: No packages selected for removal.
>>> Auto-cleaning packages ...
>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.
 * GNU info directory index is up-to-date.

So it looked like it completed succesfully.

But there is no ksh binary:

ls -al /bin/ | grep ksh
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root       8 Feb 18 12:20 ksh93 -> /bin/ksh

Would it be possible to have someone look into getting this to build correctly for gentoo ~mips? I have a few users that are die hard ksh users.

Patches are welcome. Note that ksh does not have any mips keywords, therefore it is unsupported at the moment.

As said above...
